A Front Row Seat to Something Extraordinary

Natalie Maurice
/
7 Communications
Vice President

This year marks sixteen years of 7 Communications. It also marks fifteen years since I joined Larry as the first full time employee on the first day of our second year in business.

For fifteen years I have had a front row seat to everything we have built. I have seen a spark at a dining room table turn into a company powered by people, ideas and possibility. I have watched ambition turn into work that moves people and shapes brands. I have seen the quiet force behind it all, an extraordinary team and the clients who believed in us from the beginning.

When I look back, I don’t just see campaigns or events, I see faces. I hear the late-night laughter, the hum of ideas taking shape, and the quiet focus (and inevitable overthinking) before a big event. What began as a couple of people with a shared vision to do great work for great people has grown into a team of thirty-two originals, each bringing their talent, care, and conviction to the work every single day.

This has never been just an agency. It has been a pursuit. A shared commitment to excellence. And a belief that when you care deeply about the work, people feel it.

From a Spark to a Standard

In the beginning there were no guarantees. It all started with grit and belief. Those first years were full of long hours and the belief that if we put enough care into what we did, good things would follow. Over time, our capabilities expanded across strategy, experiential, design, digital, social, partnerships and PR. But the heart of the company has never changed. We have always been defined by our pursuit of excellence and by the details that make great work feel effortless.

From our earliest partners to the global brands we collaborate with today, this story has always been powered by trust. The trust of those who believed in us when we were still finding our footing. The trust of those who continue to return because they know we deliver with clarity, care and precision.

Jaguar Land Rover. Canon. Lamborghini. Shaw Festival. Harley-Davidson. Grand Touring Automobiles. PayPal. Spayce. Volvo. And so many more. These are not just clients. They are partners who have helped shape us, challenge us and give us the privilege of bringing powerful stories to life.

Our work is anchored by three ideas that have carried us from those early days to where we are now. Pursuit. Intention. Precision.

Pursuit is what pushes us to keep going when good is not good enough. Intention is what turns ordinary moments into unforgettable experiences. Precision is what turns ambition into reality. These three principles are not just words we use. They are how we work.

The heartbeat of 7 Communications has always been its people. I have had the privilege of working alongside some extraordinary humans for the past fifteen years. People who bring sharp minds, open hearts, and a shared commitment to excellence. People who care deeply about the work and about each other. From a team of two to a team of thirty-two, their generosity and drive have shaped everything we have built here.

We have also been fortunate to work with clients who see beyond transactions. People who see us not as an agency but as a partner. Some have been with us from those early years. Others have joined along the way. All of them have helped shape the company we are today. These relationships are built on trust, ambition, and a shared belief in the power of great storytelling.

The Road Ahead

The world is moving faster than ever. Technology keeps reshaping how stories are told, and culture evolves in the blink of an eye. But what endures — what always will — is connection, meaning, and emotion. That’s where our work lives.

The values that got us here—pursuit, intention and precision—will carry us forward. They are not just guiding principles. They are how we show up every day.

To every client who has trusted us, to every partner who has shared the journey and to every person who has been part of this team, thank you. It has been the privilege of my career to have a front row seat to everything we have built together.

The story of 7 Communications is still being written. And the best chapters are ahead especially knowing that fifteen years ago, I joined Larry with nothing more than belief in what this company could become. What followed has been the greatest professional privilege of my life.

To the team that has built this with us and to the clients who have trusted us to tell their stories, thank you. I am so proud of where we are and even more excited for what is to come.
